Sesfontein sunrise
with my favorite lense jarred stuck after the last bumpy track,
boerseuns should know to let their tyres down, i ascended this hill
before sunrise, hoping to capture the barren Kaokoveld landscape
with the sun low. clever. the sidelight lit up the garden-fresh
green sprouting after recent rains. breakfast fires smoking. the
Himba people were nomading it up further to the north
we were supposedly far from the shit, the remote army base here
used to ban troublemakers from other camps to. routine patrols told
us of desert elephant spoor only. the '7th spring' bar troublefree
and jolly
