| perfect wave
a little
bit like surfing them, trying to grab the right wave at the right
time! one's anticipation and timing has to be spot on. lots of film
go to waste... and much swearing sometimes, for missing good ones,
they always drop in on me!
sea
conditions have to be right and that is near never the case. here,
in Onrust on an afternoon stroll, a splendid show was being acted
out - the tide and swell just right and square on for these near
paper thin waves to be kicked up over the shallow reefs. the lip
of the wave see-through as it curls over, light enough to leave
a signature of spray in the offshore breeze as it jumps down the
front
i marvel
at the incredible mathematics and physics at play, much like naturally
occurring fractals... this wave is just a snapshot as influences
from all over the ocean come together, before continuing dissipated
to become part of yet more other ripples on the big wide blue
