normally when one tries to photograph the moon, it gets burnt out for it being too bright compared to the landscape. don't be fooled, those that are not are mostly clever double exposures from the dark room. not this one, there was a wild veld fire along the helderberg this full moon afternoon and the smoke filtered the contrast down, quite remarkable
